Historical sand statues – Peter and Paul fortress beach
Look at those magnificent sand statues… Once a year, as part of the Saint Petersburg day celebrations, at Peter and Paul Fortress (on the bank of the Neva river, Saint Petersburg) a group of sand artists compete by creating statues that follow historical and cultural Russian marks: The 1812 war with France, the 1917 Russian revolution, the Russian space program, the soviet 5 stars program, Russian literature, Russian cartoon characters etc. In the center of the 2017 was “tribute to the Russian women”, a line of sand statues of women which influendced Russia and the world. I took photos of all the gallery, try to guess to which events and people those statues are linked to (350 rubles, must see)
